Ganje • 1913 - 2006 Mathias "Matt" Ganje, 92, Karlsruhe, died Wednesday, March 8, 2006, in a Minot hospital. Matt was born October 3, 1913 on a farm south of Karlsruhe, the first of ten children to Conrad and Regina (Beochler) Ganje. He was raised and educated in Karlsruhe. Later the family moved to farms north of Karlsruhe where Matt farmed and ranched until 1997. In 1997 he moved into an apartment in Karlsruhe. In 2000 he suffered a stroke and moved to the Granville Senior Care Center. Survivors: Brothers, Phillip, Edward and Conrad Ganje, all of California; sister, Bertha of Springfield, Ill; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his brothers, George, Carl, John and Mike, and a sister, Vernica. Funeral: Tuesday, March 14, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Karlsruhe. Visitation: Tuesday, one hour prior to the service in the church. Burial: Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery, Karlsruhe, ND. Celebrant of the Liturgies: Father James Gross Music: Sts.
