Nancy Gangl, 51, Minot died Sunday, August 30, 2009 in a Minot hospital.

Nancy Gayle Munson was born on September 25, 1957, a daughter of Arthur and Billie (Moen) Munson in Minot. She was raised and educated in Minot, graduating from Minot High School in 1975.

Nancy was briefly married to Paul Knutson. On August 30, 1986, she was united in marriage to Bernard Gangl. Together they had Nancy's only child, Jaimie Gangl. They later divorced.

Nancy worked over the years at the Eagles Aire, Sheraton Inn, and Fridays Lounge. She loved animals and volunteered at the Souris Valley Humane Society. Nancy's passion was her art, in which she had great talent for drawing and calligraphy.

She was a member of the Augustana Lutheran Church, Minot.

Daughter: Jaimie Gangl; siblings: Elden (Brenda) Munson, Linda (Dennis) Lang, Beverly (Pat) Selmek, Mark Munson, companion Jim Orne and friend Bernie Gangl, all of Minot; cat: Bob: numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, maternal and paternal grandparents and several aunts and uncles.

Visitation: Tuesday, September 1, 2009 from 1-6:30 at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot

Funeral Service: Wednesday, September 2, 2009, at 1 pm at Augustana Lutheran Church, Minot

Burial: a private burial will be held at Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot
