Robyn D. Gabel 1958 - 2008 Robyn Diane Miller was born March 31, 1958 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Minot, ND, the daughter of Edward and Delores (Brandvold) Miller. She was raised and educated in Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1976. Robyn married Gary Goodman on August 10, 1977, and to this union three children were born, Amy, Liz and Ben. They made their home in Minot and raised their family. Robyn attended Minot State School of Nursing and graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1992. She started working at Trinity Hospital in the Intensive Care Unit and later moved to the Emergency Room. She became night Supervisor at the hospital, where she worked until her death. Robyn loved her family and enjoyed spending as much time as she could with them. She had a special place in her heart for her four grandchildren and enjoyed taking all of them to movies together. She had a great love for the outdoors. She enjoyed spending her time off in the summer at her lake cabin at Parshall Bay, where she loved to fish. These last few years, Robyn and her good friend, Brenda Ott made winter trips to Jamaica and the Caribbean for a little vacation. She frequented Starbucks in Minot, where they knew her on a first name basis, often making two or three trips there a day. Those who shared in her life, children, Amy (Darin) Bergrude, Liz Goodman and Ben Goodman and his friend, Chandra Krebsbach, all in Minot; four grandchildren, Brooklyn Goodman, Brock and Carson Bergrude and Olivia Foss; parents, Edward and Delores Miller, Minot; sister, Kim (George) McGillivray, Menominee, MI; brothers, Kerry (Lori) Miller, Midland, TX, Blaine (Laura) Miller, Minot, Jim (Jana) Miller, Austin, TX and Maury (Kandy) Miller, Minot; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins survive. Funeral: Thursday, October 30, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot. Visitation and vigil prayer service: Wednesday, (today) October 29, 2008 from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m., with the vigil prayer service at 5:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.
