Delbert "Del" Joseph Fugere, 64, Minot, died Saturday, September 22, 2007, in a Minot hospital.

Del was born on April 18, 1943, in St. Andrews Hospital in Bottineau, ND, the son of Ulric N. and Marie (Kavanau) Fugere. He was raised and educated in Bottineau. At a young age Del worked for his uncle as a truck driver and later for Schumacker Trucking in Rugby, ND.

Del moved to Minot where he worked at Jacobsen Construction building grain elevators in Minot, Newburg and Kramer, ND. He married Bettey Godejohn on March 23, 1979, in Minot. The couple made their home in Minot, Newburg, Loraine and Burlington, ND. Del worked for Dave Witteman as his lead farm hand for many years and then went to work for Gates Construction, Lansford, ND and later Farden Construction, Maxbass, ND. Bettey died on April 29, 2005.

Del loved deer hunting and most of all spending time with his family and his grandkids. He enjoyed driving truck which took him all over the Untied States and Canada. Del had a quiet manner and a great sense of humor that will be missed by his loving family.

Survivors: stepchildren, Tracy (Rita) Godejohn, and Patty (Ted) Kaler, all of Minot; step grandchildren, Robin, Kayla, Michael and Abby Godejohn and Jennifer Kaler, BettyGene (Chris) Falcon and Heather Kaler; step great-grandchildren, Armoni Wells and Avery and Tayler Falcon; sisters, Doris May (Harold) Klamar, Gatzke, MN and Dorthy Buelow, Bottineau; sisters-in-law, Mona Fugere, Gwinner, ND, and Thelma Fugere, Danville, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bettey, his parents, Ulric and Marie, brothers, Donald and Dean Fugere, stepson, Robin Godejohn and brother-in-law, August Buelow.

Mass of Christian Burial: Tuesday, September 25, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Little Flower Catholic Church, Minot

Visitation and Prayer Service: Today, Monday, September 24, 2007, from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. with at prayer service at 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot

Burial will take place at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery, Kenmare.
