Carl Froholm 1918 - 2007 Carl was born on June 1, 1918, in Charlson, ND, the son of Peder A. and Anna (Neraal) Froholm. He was raised and educated in Charlson and later attended industrial school at Wahpeton, ND. Carl and his brother, Orvin farmed the family farmstead in Charlson, ND for many years. They were totally self-sufficient never relying on outside help. Carl was a wonderful mechanic and was very knowledgeable on the geological conditions of his land. Carl loved to fish was an avid reader and an exceptional cook. He took great pride in his family, was wonderful with children, very kind hearted and generous. Carl was a member of First Lutheran Church, Keene and the Sons of Norway. Survivors: sisters, A. Caroline Cook, Minot and Doris Bickel, Alhambra, CA; nieces and nephews, Patti Lynn Cook-Abejon, Carol Ann Cook, Sue Cook, Rick Cook, Terry Cook, Brian Bickel, Roxanne Bickel, Peter Bickel, Jeff Bickel, Diane Hudson, and Dennis Jo Driscoll; and several great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded death by his parent, Peder and Anna, his sister, Galdys Driscoll, brother Orvin, infant brother Ralph and his nephew, James Cook. Funeral Service: Thursday, May 3, 2007, at 11 a.m. at First Lutheran Church, Keene, ND. Visitation: Wednesday, May 2, 2007, from noon until 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot Burial: Antelope Cemetery, Charlson, ND Memorials preferred to First Lutheran Church, Keene, ND.
