Lola Fredriksen, 96, Minot, ND, died Friday, December 7, 2007, in a Minot nursing home.

Lola Viola Tannehill was born September 20, 1911, the daughter of Carl and Marie (Nordhagen) Tannehill in Sawyer, ND. She was raised and educated in the Sawyer area.

Lola was united in marriage to Lloyd Fredriksen October 8, 1927, in Minot, ND. They resided in Balfour and Drake, ND, before moving to Minot in the 1930's. Lloyd passed away December 16, 1970. Lola spent 23 years working as a nurse's aid at Trinity Hospital. Following her retirement in 1976, she worked at the Trinity Hospital and Nursing Home Gift Shops for four years. She also volunteered for the Trinity Auxiliary for several years. Lola continued to reside in Minot and in May of 2003, she moved into Trinity Nursing Home. She still continued to volunteer and help others whenever she could.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Minot.

Lola loved to sew using her 1942 Singer sewing machine and enjoyed embroidery work, and crocheting. Her last pleasure in life was watching little children, especially her great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.

Surviving family includes: son, Robert Fredriksen, Mesa, AZ; daughter-in-law, Marion Fredriksen, Minot; 14 grandchildren, Diane (Kevin) Synnott, David (Judy) Fredriksen, Jerry (Diane) Fredriksen, Carol (LaVerne) Malcomb, Sharon (Darrell) Van Winkle, LaVern (Cindy) Fredriksen, Wayne Fredriksen, Joanie Fredriksen, Bruce (Rebecca) Fredriksen, Roy Fredriksen, Ken Fredriksen, Connie Fredriksen, Rick (Evelyn) Emmett, and Yvonne Swider; 18 great-grandchildren;17 great great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lola was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd; twin sons, Duane and Darrell, sons, Dale and Vernon Fredriksen; daughter, Fern Emmett; sisters, Martha, Zella, Violet, Bernice; brothers, Claude, Alpheus, Glen, Earl Tannehill.

Funeral: Monday, December 10, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. at First Lutheran Church, Minot.

Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.

Visitation: Sunday from Noon to 5 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
