Claudia Jo "Toddy" Fredrickson 1950 - 2003

Claudia Jo "Toddy" Fredrickson, 53, Powers Lake, ND, a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend went to the arms of her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, February 11, 2003.

Claudia was born January 3, 1950 in Powers Lake, ND, the daughter of Roy and JoAnne (Grimsrud) Andersen. She was raised and educated in Powers Lake and graduated from Powers Lake High School in 1968. She attended the North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton, where she earned her degree in nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Claudia married the love of her life, Terry Fredrickson on June 19, 1971, at Minot. They later moved to the Andersen family farm east of Powers Lake in the spring of 1975. They raised their boys on the farm that she grew up on.

Claudia finished her clinicals at Rugby and later worked at Trinity Hospital in Minot and hospitals in Stanley and Tioga. She worked for a time as a home health nurse in the Powers Lake area. She was currently employed at the Kenmare Hospital. She loved her job and the people she cared for. She was a light in the many lives she touched.

Claudia was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Powers Lake, and a member of the WELCA. She gave generously from her heart with her time and her spirit, and always had a smile. She had a deep abiding faith in her God that was evident in her daily life. She was a Cub Scout leader when her boys were young and all three became Eagle Scouts. Claudia was a caring person quick with a smile and laugh. She loved the farm and her family and she was the "glue" and "rock" of the family. Some of her happiest times were sitting at the kitchen table with her husband and boys, talking, laughing and loving. She had a new grandson, Noah, that she was especially proud of and was quick to bring out the photo album full of pictures. She loved camping and fishing as long as her family was with her. She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
