Keegan C. Fred 1981 - 2011 Keegan Clarence Fred was born on September 10, 1981, a son of Casey and Benita (Bowen) Fred in Tacoma, WA. He was raised and educated in Sawyer and Garrison. While in Sawyer, Keegan was active with the Velva-Sawyer wresting program. He also excelled in football and baseball. After high school, Keegan worked for various companies including Greenberg Construction, Cashman Nursery and as a bee keeper for Erb Honey Farms. In 2000, he began his career in the oil fields. Keegan began working for True Oil Company as what Keegan would call “a worm.” He worked for various oil companies, including Cyclone, Pioneer and Nabors Drilling. At the time of his death, Keegan was a Rig Manager for Patterson UTI Drilling Company Rig #336. Keegan enjoyed spending time outdoors. He enjoyed ice fishing, sledding, camping, hunting and working with his horses. Most of all, he enjoyed spending his free time with his family. He was a loving father, son, brother and friend. Keegan is survived by: Keegan was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Darlene Fred, maternal grandfather Theodore Bowen, and uncles Don Bowen, Duane Fred and James Fred.
