Ann Nicole Fox • 1947 - 2007 Ann Nicole Michaels was born July 29, 1947 in Devils Lake, ND to Oscar and Louise (Ritteman) Michaels. She was raised on the family farm near Churchs Ferry and graduated from Churchs Ferry High School. She attended Lake Region Junior College in Devils Lake for two years and later graduated from Minot State College. On July 24, 1970 Ann married Kenneth C. Fox in Churchs Ferry. Following their marriage they made their home in Velva. Ann taught third and fourth grade at the Velva Public School for 36 years until November of 2006. Ann enjoyed family, friends, reading, and gardening, especially tending to her flowers. She was a member of Oak Valley Lutheran Church, Velva, and was active in the church serving on the church council. Ann also served as Sunday School Treasurer and 4-H Leader for a number of years. Survivors: Husband, Ken, Velva; daughters, Sarah Fox, Fargo, Erin Fox, Bismarck, twin daughters, Ashley Fox, Minot and Amber Fox, Bismarck; brother, Russell (Doris) Michaels, Leeds; one niece, Jessica (Glen Woodard) Michaels, Grand Forks; several cousins also survive. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Louise. Funeral: Friday, January 19, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Valley Lutheran Church, Velva, ND. Visitation: Thursday, January 18, 2007 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Velva. Burial: The burial will be held in the spring of 2007 Memorials are preferred to the Ann N.
