Maria Forrester 1930 - 2004

Maria Forrester, 73, died Monday, December 13, 2004 in a Minot Nursing Home.

Maria was born December 30, 1930 in Znaim, West Germany, the daughter of Joseph and Maria Leiss. She was raised in West Germany. In 1950, Maria married Otto Joseph Drechsel in West Germany. Joseph later died. In 1966, Maria married Robert Forrester in West Germany. They made their home in West Germany for 3 years before moving to Minot on November of 1969.

While in Minot, Maria worked as a seamstress at Sharks Mens Store, and for Myre's Women's Clothing Store.

Those who shared in her life, son: Reinhard Drechsel, McKinney, TX daughter: Anita Drechsel, Minot; daughter-in-law, Marsha Drechsel, Minot; four grandchildren: Alexander Drechsel, Sherree Mitchell, LaToya Coburn and Sean Ruff; four great-grandchildren: Drelan, Jaquan and Malik Mitchell, and Jestin McDaniel; brothers: Johan Leiss, Schwarzenbach, West Germany; Joesph Leiss, Hof/awald Saale, West Germany; sisters: Margaret Walde, Bayeruth, West Germany; Hedwig Pedro, Nurenberg, West Germany; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins survive.

Maria was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Joseph Drechsel, and her parents.

Mass of Christian Burial: Saturday, December 18, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot.

Visitation: Saturday, December 18, 2004, from 9:00 a.m., to service time at the funeral home.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot, ND.
