Brian Foley 1961 - 2003


Brian Foley, 42, 403 North Pleasant Avenue, Surrey, died Monday at his home.

He was born March 25, 1961, in Minot at St. Joseph's hospital, to Michael and Joyce (Kubler) Foley. He was reared and educated in Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1979. He was employed by Ernie's Concrete and Jerome's Auto Body for a time. He also did odd jobs around the Minot area. On July 26, 1986, he married Remona Teets in Minot. Brian spent most of his life as a musician. He played in various bands throughout the years. The first band that Brian played in, at age 15 was, Country Squires, and Brian was quoted saying, "I played country when country wasn't cool, but I sure had more money than my buddies in school." Other bands he played with included, Restless, High Fever and currently played drums with the band the Roof Top Rockers.

He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. He enjoyed woodworking with his son Skylar and fishing and hunting with his friends. His dad coached a little league baseball team that he and his brothers played on when they were young.

Survivors: wife, Remona, Surrey; son Skylar Foley, Surrey; mother, Joyce Kubler, Minot; grandmother, Violet Kubler, Minot; brothers, Michael (Sandy) Foley, Minot and Tim (Lisa) Foley, Surrey and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Michael Foley and grandfather, Marvin Kubler.

Funeral: Thursday, 2:00 p.m. at First Assembly of God Church, Minot.

Visitation: Wednesday from noon until 7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
