Daniel P. Fjeldahl • 1953 - 2008 Dan was born on September 16, 1953, the son of Philip and Germaine (Allshouse) Fjeldahl in Minot, ND. He was raised on a farm near Berthold, ND and graduated in 1971 from Berthold High School, where he was active with football and FFA. Following his graduation, he worked for Vern and Donna Stevick as a farm hand. He then worked for Haugen Construction, and was in charge of their crushing operation. On July 6, 1973, he was united in marriage to Sharon Carico in Minot. Following their marriage, they made their home in Des Lacs, ND. In 1978, he purchased Larson Brothers in Des Lacs, ND and established Des Lacs Sand and Gravels Company, which he owned and operated for 20 years. Dan loved farming. Established in the early 90's, he was usually the first to get the crop in the field. His eagerness to be first was a smooth transition into his new found passion in life, drag racing. Dan, with crew chief, Sharon, by his side, found that drag racing brought them even closer together, and allowed them to meet new friends and see many new places. Dan was a driven, creative, trustworthy, compassionate and comical individual. His passion for living life to the fullest and pursuit for perfection were second to none. He will be missed by all that knew him. He attended Faith United Methodist Church in Minot. He is survived by: He was preceded in death by his father, and a nephew Jesse Beskoon.
