David A. Fettig • 1958 - 2007 David was born December 25, 1958, in Harvey, ND, the son of Leonard and Frances (Salwey) Fettig. David was raised in Selz, ND and at a young age moved to Minot with his family. He graduated from Minot High School in 1977. He attended Williston State College where he earned a degree as a diesel mechanic. In 1979, David married Kelly Bercier in Williston, ND. Following their marriage they lived in Williston, where David worked for Smestad Implement and later Joe Wells digging service. They lived in Sidney, MT for one year. While in Sidney David was employed with Eagle Tractor Implement and in 1984 they moved to Minot. David worked at Magic City Implement in Minot from 1984 to 1995. He was employed at Porter Brothers and later at Keller Paving, where he was employed at the time of his death. David and Kelly divorced in 1994. David enjoyed going to the races and was a NASCAR fan. He was good at fixing equipment and could fix anything. He really enjoyed getting old equipment running again. David's true loves were his children and grandson. Those who shared in his life, Children, Robin (Shawn) Beede, Brad Fettig and his son, Logan Fettig, and Austin Jensen, all of Minot; mother, Frances Fettig, Minot; brothers, Charles (Denise) Fettig, Williston, Leonard Fettig, Jr., and Howard (Nancy) Fettig, all of Minot; sisters, Sara (Mike) Fisk, Minot, Mary (Jeff) Dickinson, Bismarck, Rosie (Bill) Dickinson, Surrey, and Vickie (Robbie) Edwards, Plaza; special friend, Darcy Voeller, Minot, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins survive. David was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Fettig; a niece, Ashley Fettig; and his maternal and paternal grandparents and several aunts and uncles. Funeral: Thursday, September 27, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot. Visitation and vigil prayer service: There will be no reviewal, but friends may sign the register Wednesday, September 26, 2007, from noon to 7:00 p.m., with the rosary recitation Wednesday at 5:00 p.m., all at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND. Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.
