Clemens "Clem" Steven Fettig 1938 - 2002

Clemens "Clem" Steven Fettig, 64, 6630 16th Ave. NW, Minot, died Sunday at his son's home in Bozeman, MT.

He was born July 31, 1938, in Selz, ND, the son of John and Magdalena (Wentz) Fettig. He was reared and educated in Rugby, ND. He entered the United States Navy on June 12, 1956, and was discharged on May 29, 1959.

He was united in marriage to Joyce Elaine Shjerve on September 7, 1962, in Minot. The couple made their home in rural Minot.

Clem was an electrician and a welder and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers #714. He worked on the missile sites throughout North Dakota. He also worked on various power plants and other projects throughout the United States.

When he was not traveling for work he enjoyed tinkering with cars and trucks with his three sons. In most recent years he enjoyed spending his available time with his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly. Clem was a quiet and loving husband, father and grandpa.

He attended Our Redeemers Lutheran Brethren Church, Minot.

Survivors: wife, Joyce, Minot; sons, Irvin Fettig, Burnsville, MN, Kelly Fettig and his wife Aletha, Belgrade, MT, and Barry Fettig and his wife Tiffanie, Minot; grandchildren, Zacary and Josie Fettig, McKinzie and Kelsie Fettig; sisters, Mary Fettig, Chino Valley, AZ, Katherine Carroll, Stephensville, TX, Helen Haman, Towner, ND; brother, Leonard Fettig, Minot. Clem was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Johnny.

Funeral Service: Friday, 11:00 a.m. at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Brethren Church, Minot.

Visitation: Thursday from noon until 7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home.

Prayer Service: Thursday 7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot.

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
