Delores Fenner • 1938 - 2008 Delores A. Hoffer was born June 23, 1938, a daughter of George and Esther (Fenner) Hoffer in Drake, ND. She was baptized on September 11, 1938, at St. John's Lutheran Church, McClusky. She was raised in the Drake and Kief, ND, areas and educated at Highland Township School #1, rural Kief, ND. Delores married John "Johnny" Fenner April 15, 1965, in Amarillo, TX. They made their home in Minot and from this union, two children were born. A daughter, Jonelle Gail was born in 1967 and a son, Daren Paul was born in 1969. She was employed as a laundry aide for Trinity Hospital and later the Minot Vocational Workshop for 38 years before retiring in August of 2004. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Minot, and former member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, McClusky, ND. She enjoyed traveling with her family, especially to Branson, Missouri. In 2006, Delores was finally able to visit Hawaii with her family. She was able to see the many sites and experience a Hawaiian luau. She was also able to take a bus tour to the Dole plantation and visit Pearl Harbor. One of her dreams this fall was to visit Branson one more time and to visit with her aunt, Vi Williams, which she had done many times over the past years. She loved to embroider, especially dish towels and pillowcases. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family, especially during the holidays. Surviving family includes: husband of 43 years, Johnny, Minot; daughter, Jonelle Fenner and her special friend, Bill Christen, Minot; son, Daren Fenner, Minot; sister, Arlene (Melvin) Hausauer, Minot; brother, Larry (Bonnie) Hoffer, Fessenden, ND; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Delores was preceded in death by her parents, George and Esther Hoffer and an infant brother, Clayton Hoffer. Funeral: Saturday, August 9, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at
