Pamela Kay Farrell 1948 - 2006 Pamela Kay Farrell, 57, 1130 6th St NE, Minot, died Friday, February 24, 2006, in a Minot hospital. Pamela Kay Hansen was born September 6, 1948, the daughter of Wallace and Pearl (Schmelling) Hansen in Kenmare. She was reared and educated in Kenmare, graduating from Kenmare High School in 1966. Following her graduation, Pamela attended the North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton, ND, and graduated with a Nursing Degree in 1968. Following graduation, she moved to Minneapolis, MN and worked as a nurse there. Pamela met Micheal James Farrell, a member of the US Army. They were married November 7, 1970 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Kenmare. His Army career took led them to Kentucky for the next four years. Following his discharge, they moved to Grand Forks, ND, and in 1975 moved to Minot. Micheal died May 16, 1989. Pamela was employed at St. Joseph's Hospital, for 23 years as an LPN, before ill health forced her to retire in 2001. At the time of her death, she was employed at the St. Leo's Community Center, and was a CCD teacher at St. Leo's. Pam was president of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers,a member of the St. Therese's Guild, and a member of the St. Leo's Parish Council. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by: Daughters, Kristie Parizek, Minot; Cathy Ough, Minot; five grandchildren: Tyler, Ciara, and Hanna Parizek, Micheal and Marcus Ough; mother; Pearl Hansen, Kenmare; brother: Darrell (Lori) Hansen,Bismarck; nephew Eric Hansen and niece Nicole Hansen. She was preceded in death by her husband, father and sister Darlene Hansen. Visitation: Thursday, March 2, 2006 from noon until 7:00 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Vigil Prayer Service: Thursday, March 2, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot.
