Ardell Farden 1927 - 2002 Ardell Farden, 74, 810 2nd Ave. SW, #D, Minot, died Saturday, November 9, 2002 at his daughter's home in Boca Raton, Florida. Ardell Duane Farden was born on November 10, 1927, to Alvin (Ole) and Helen (Haakenson) Farden at Bottineau, North Dakota, the oldest of six children. He grew up in Maxbass and graduated from high school there in 1945. He worked with his father and for area farmers as a young boy and, with his family, began a house-moving business in the early 1940's. Ardell was united in marriage to Joanne Bergeth on September 26, 1947. He moved to Minot in 1968, where he worked for Ask, Inc. for 20 years. He spent the last few years happily working at the Days Inn in Minot. Ardell was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Minot, ND. He was an avid hunter and pool player, but his favorite pasttime was being a doting Grandpa. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Joanne and four daughters: Sandra Farden (Ocean Ridge, Fl.), Suzanne Fundingsland (Patrick Hardy) (Fargo), Sally (Jay) Brachfeld (Boca Raton, Fl.) and Jayne Goldade (Minot). He had five beloved grandchildren: Tahirih Schaefer, Patrick Fundingsland, Hilary Brachfeld, Cody Goldade and Callie Goldade. Surviving also are three brothers: Russell, Kenny and Donnie (Marie) of Maxbass and one sister, Carol (Fred) Boger of Minot. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Jerry and his sister, Norma Andersen. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 16, 2002, at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Minot, ND. Cremation has taken place. Interment of ashes will be at Graceland Cemetery, Maxbass at 3 p.m. on Saturday. Visitation: Friday, 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
