Normeley Fandrich 1937 - 2007 Normeley was born on June 16, 1937 in Minot, North Dakota, the daughter of John and Lena (Kankovsky) Nachatilo. She was reared and educated in Butte, ND and graduated co-valedictorian of her graduating class of 1955. While in high school she was active in 4-H and attended the national 4-H Congress in Chicago in 1954 and she also was selected to attend North Dakota Girls State. She then attended Minot State University for one year obtaining her teaching certificate. Upon her graduation from MSU, she taught in a country school north of Butte until her future husband Delmer Fandrich was discharged from the military. They married on August 3, 1958 at Rosenfeld Baptist Church. They later moved to the Rugby area where she taught piano lessons in her home. Normeley was a member of Butte Baptist Church until it closed
and then attended Glad Tidings She enjoyed sewing, needlepoint, reading, music, and doing crafts. Normeley was a great cook who enjoyed watching cooking shows. She also enjoyed giving and receiving cards. Her favorite times of the year were Easter and Christmas. She never missed watching Charlie Brown and Billy Graham specials on TV and the Billy Graham radio program, Hour of Decision. Those who shared in her life are husband, Delmer Fandrich, Rugby; sons, Lynn (Dorene) Fandrich, Beulah, ND, Loren (Darla) Fandrich, Minot and Lavern Fandrich, Rugby; Five grandchildren, Jessica, Jennifer, Jamie, Jaden and Lindsey Fandrich; four step-grandchildren, Bo, Levi, Cory and Cristie Cramer; sisters-in-law, Marlys "Susie" Fandrich, Minot, Darlene (Robert (Bud) Olson, Idaho Falls, Idaho and Pat living in Washington State. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter and a brother, Norlin, father and mother-in-law, Emil and Emma Fandrich and brother-in-law, Darrel Fandrich Funeral: Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Minot Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot. Visitation: Monday, December 10, 2007 from noon until 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Memorials are preferred to donor's choice. Officiant: Rev.
