Marian Everson • 1931 - 2006 Marian H. Everson was born on January 22, 1931, the daughter of Harry and Clara (Solem) Everson in Kolmier Township of Rolette County, rural Overly, ND. She was raised in the Willow City, ND, area, and attended Willow City public school. She graduated from Willow City High School. She then attended Minot State Teachers College where she received her standard teaching certificate. She later completed her Bachelors Degree in Education from Minot State Teachers College. Marian had taught school in Barton, ND, Carrington, ND, and Minot, ND, for a total of 38 years. She retired from the Minot Public School system on June 1, 1992. Marian was a member of the Willow City Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary, Willow City, ND. She enjoyed needlework, reading, and collecting cross necklaces. Surviving family includes: sisters, Carol (Art) Mettler, Yuma, AZ; Betty Everson, Minot, ND; Judi Leonard, Granville, ND; brother, Robert (Mary) Everson, Fargo, ND; and Harold (Carol) Everson, Las Vegas, NV; and several nieces and nephews. Marian was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Blanche and Ruth; and brothers, Lloyd and Elwood. Private Family Service: Friday, January 5, 2007, at
