Donna A. Evenson 1926 - 2006 She was born on January 12, 1926, in Galva, IL, the daughter of Herman and Cassie (Lindel) Hier. She was reared and educated in Illinois and in North Dakota where she met her husband to be Curtis Evenson. Donna worked in California during World War II and on February 25, 1944, she eloped to Las Vegas, NV with Curtis, before he was stationed overseas. While living in North Dakota the couple had six children. After her youngest child passed away from complications of spina bifida, she returned to college and earned her secretarial certificate. Donna worked several years to occupy her time. She and Curtis retired in 1985, and the couple spent the winters in Arizona. Donna enjoyed watching, feeding and identifying birds that came to her yard. She loved to garden and grow flowers that she was very proud of and enjoyed showing to others. She also enjoyed rummaging and collecting antiques in her spare time. Donna lived a quiet and peaceful life although hardships were many. She was loved and admired by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. Survivors: sons, Gary (Debra) Evenson, Baxter, MN,
