Sheila Rae Evanoff, 33, Burlington, ND, formerly of Ryder, died Sunday, October 28, 2007, from injuries sustained in a vehicle-deer collision near Harvey, ND.

Sheila Rae Dreher was born August 6, 1974, the daughter of Merle and Jackie (Bruse) Dreher in Minot. She was raised in Makoti until she was five years old when she moved with her family to Ryder, ND. She was educated at North Shore Elementary School in Ryder and graduated from North Shore High School in Makoti in 1992. While in high school she was active in music, basketball, and cheerleading. She was also an active member of the Luther League at St. John's Lutheran in Ryder where she was confirmed.

Following her high school graduation, she attended UND Williston and graduated from there in 1994 with her business degree. Following her graduation from college she had been employed by Good Shepherd Day Care, Medical Arts Clinic and at Minot Chrysler Center. In 1997, she began employment at IRET and continued to work there until the spring of 2007, when she began employment with Mortgage Max as a loan processor.

Sheila was married to James Evanoff June 9, 1995. They were later divorced. From this union, their two sons were born, Jordan and Cameron.

She was an active member of Des Lacs Methodist Church and especially enjoyed being involved in the Christmas in the Barn Contata at Des Lacs for the past several years.

She enjoyed reading, scrap booking, and spending time with her many friends. She also enjoyed the time she spent driving the tractors through the Makoti Threshing Show Parade and helping her dad with the units he was in charge of there.

She was a loving, caring mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, special friend, aunt, and niece, who loved the time spent with her family, especially her two sons. She and her two boys enjoyed spending time at Todd's farm near Esmond, ND, through the past months, driving tractor and helping out with all the farm and ranch activities.

Surviving family includes: Sons, Jordan Evanoff (age 10) and Cameron Evanoff (age 5), both of Burlington; mother and father, Jackie and Merle Dreher, Ryder, ND; sisters, Kay Gilbertson, Beach City, TX, and Jill (Ben) Bohrer, Hazen, ND; brother, Justin Dreher, Ryder, ND; maternal grandmother, Ardith Bruse, LaMoure, ND; special friend, Todd Wolfe, Esmond, ND; aunt and uncles, Gloria (Robert) Housh, Findlay, OH, and Vernon Bruse, DeBeque, CO; nieces, Alyssa Hushka and Tana Bohrer; nephews, Aaron and Tanner Hushka and Connor Gilbertson; and several cousins.

Sheila was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Lovett Bruse; and paternal grandparents, Raymon and Cora Dreher.

Funeral: Thursday, November 1, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Ryder.

Interment: Rosehill Cemetery, Ryder, ND.

Visitation: Wednesday from Noon to 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Prayer Service: Thursday at 11:30 a.m. the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Jordan and Cameron Evanoff Trust Fund in care of Bremer Bank of Minot.
