D. Erion 1952 - 2005 William "Bill" D. Erion, 53, 832 4th St. SW, Minot, died Tuesday, January 3, 2006, at his home. Bill was born on December 6, 1952, in Huron, South Dakota, the son of Marcus and Lucile (Scheibe) Erion. His early education was in the Huron-Wolsey area of South Dakota. The family moved to Minot in 1968 and he graduated from Minot High School in 1970. In 1972 he started his career with Nash Finch in Minot and was employed by them at the time of his death. Over the years he worked as a truck driver, warehouseman and did maintenance and repair. Bill was a member of the Nodak Speedway where he raced for several years. He also followed the World of Outlaws, going to many races over the years. Bill loved to play golf, hunt and work on mechanics. Bill was a past member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Minot and was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church, Wolsey, S.Dak. Survivors: Father, Marcus Erion, Huron, SD; sisters, Sharon (Verlyn) Wipf, Sioux Falls, SD, Shirley (Ed) Kalis, Mount Pleasant, MI, Susan (Don) Kinsley, Huron, SD and Sandra (Ken) Matehs, Upham, ND; nieces and nephews, Bryan and Darin Wipf, Edward (Dawn) Kalis, Jason Kalis, Jon (Misty) Kalis, Carman Kinsley, Chad (Sundy) Kinsley, Wendi (Jon) Gilbert, Cody (Erin) Kinsley, Joseph (Jennifer) Matehs, and Joshua (Amanda) Matehs; many great nieces and nephews.
