Alfred T. Erickson 1909 - 2005 Alfred T. Erickson, 75, Minot, died Thursday, February 17, 2005, in a Garrison Hospital. Alfred was born on January 12, 1930, in Tagus, ND, the son of Paul and Ella (Julesberg) Erickson. He was reared and educated in Tagus. He assisted his father on the family farmstead in rural Tagus for a number of years. On July 17, 1971, Alfred married Barbara (Christenson) Shlak at Vincent United Methodist Church in Minot. The couple made their home in Minot where Alfred worked as a carpenter for over 30 years until ill health forced him to retire. Suvivors: wife of 33 years, Barbara, Minot; sons, Guy (Julie) Schlak, Rosemont, MN, David Schlak, Rosemont, MN, and Zane (Dee) Schlak, Minot; daughter, Judith Schlak, Minneapolis, MN; grandsons, Michael, Chad, Brady, and Christopher Schlak; sisters, Emma (Adolph) Jorgenson, New Town, ND, and Martha Bruhn, Minot, several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Ella Erickson, brother, John Erickson and two sisters, Myrtle Kjellberg and Anna Tatch. Memorial Service: Tuesday, February 22, 2005, at 11 a.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot. Friends may sign a register book on Monday, February 21, 2005, from noon until 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial of cremains will take place in the spring of
2005 at the St. Olaf's Lutheran Cemetery, Tagus.
