Harold Erdman 1927 - 2006

Harold Erdman, 79, 1601 18th St. SE, Minot, ND, died Sunday, December 31, 2006, in a Minot hospital.

Harold Adolf Erdman was born on August 30, 1927, the son of Paul and Lillian (Lundy) Erdman in Minot, ND. He was raised in Minot and educated in the Minot public schools.

Harold was married to Bernice Nelson on June 23, 1953, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Minot. They made their home in Minneapolis, MN, where he was employed by Honywell, Inc. for a couple of years. They returned to Minot where he was employed by Atlas Ready Mix. He worked for them for seven years before working as a self-employed carpenter for many years. He also worked on many of the missile sites throughout North Dakota. He also worked as a millwright at the Coal Creek and Falkirk Mine in North Dakota, and at various power plants in Montana and Wisconsin.

Harold enjoyed camping, fishing, bowling, and playing cards.

His loving family includes: wife of 53 years, Bernice, Minot; son, Roger Erdman, Great Falls, MT; daughter, Karen (George) Bichler, Minneapolis, MN; grandchildren, Christopher Dean, Marshall Dean, Heidi Lynch, Taylor Erdman, and Chelsea Bichler; great-grandchildren, Alex and Caleb Dean; sister, Darlene Levchenko, Minot; brother, Willard (Marlene) Erdman, Minot; sisters-in-law, Eileen (Jim) Nelson Hazelbower, Minot, and Mary Ann Ballard, Minot; brother-in-law, Harvey Nelson, Minot; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Ethel Olafson.

Funeral: Thursday, January 4, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Lighthouse Church, 1400 5th St. SW, Minot.

Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.

Visitation: Wednesday from 2 to 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
