Laura O. Erb, 95, Minot, formerly of Ryder, ND, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008 in a Minot nursing home.

Laura Peterson was born on May 22, 1912, the daughter of Martin A. and Bertina (Petersen) Peterson on a farmstead near Washburn, ND. Laura moved with her parents to Ryder at a young age where she was reared and educated.

Laura married Clayton Erb on January 30, 1928 and they lived on various farm near Ryder until moving to Ryder in 1943. Clayton died on July 28, 1967. Laura sold her home and moved to Garrison where she was employed at various places until she moved to Minot in 1982. Laura continued to live at her home until August of 2007.

She was a member of the Stitch and Chatters Club and the Presbyterian Church, both of Ryder, ND. She was a former member of the Moose Lodge of Minot.

Survivors: son: Gerald (Betty) Erb, Dalton, MA, daughters: Olive Boots, Minot, Shirley Schieve, Minot, Sheryl (Jeff) Tolson, Cool, CA; 20 grandchildren: 40 great-grandchildren: 22 great-great-grandchildren; sister Leona (Ray) Zahow, Minot, sisters-in-law Mildred Peterson, Gladys Peterson and Jeanice Officer, all of Minot; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Laura was preceded in death by her husband, son Dale Erb, daughter Joyce Fleck, one infant daughter, brothers Lyle, Leslie, Leonard, Leighton, Lorraine, Lynn, LeRoy and Lloyd Peterson; sisters Lucille Woods, Lydia Daleness, Lillian Romsaas, Lavina Sauer, LaVerna White and Lenora Eidahl; her parents, and grandchildren: David Erb, Lori Baccaro and Gerald Erb one great grandchild Clayton Dewitz.

Funeral Service: Monday, March 10, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot

Visitation: Sunday, March 9, 2008, from noon until 5 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot

Burial will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Monday at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot

Officiant: Rev. Jonathan Starks, Pastor at the Presbyterian Church, Ryder, ND
