Agnes J. Enockson 1910- 2006 Agnes J. Enockson was born March 28, 1910, to Ole and Martha (Ulvan) Enockson at Hendrum, Minnesota. The family moved to Makoti in 1914 as homesteaders. She grew up in Makoti. During WWII, from 1942 to 1946, Agnes worked at Boeing Field, Seattle, constructing B17 Flying Fortress Bombers for the United States Air Corps. After the war, she returned to Minot. She then attended Christie Beauty School and managed a shop in McClusky. Later, she attended Minot Business School and worked as a secretary for Ward County Veterans Association and Vocational Rehabilitation for 18 years. She retired in 1972. Over the years, she was an active volunteer for the V.A. Hospital, the Senior Citizens League of Minot, and the American Legion Auxiliary. Agnes was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, Minot. She was active in the American Legion Auxiliary for many years and enjoyed traveling after her retirement. She resided at Milton Young Towers for 32 years. Two brothers, Orrin, Underwood, ND, and Kenneth, Washburn, ND survive her. Several nieces and nephews and their families also survive. She was preceded in death by two sisters; Erna Sauer, and Magna Enockson (infant), four brothers; Emil, Tony, Juel and Norman Enockson.
