Edna Nissen Enge 1910 - 2004 Edna Nissen Enge, 93, Minot, died Thursday, March 11, 2004, at Riverview Hospital, Crookston, MN. Edna was born on June 2, 1910 on a farm in Washburn, ND, to Maude and William Stone. She then graduated from Washburn High School and then attended college in Dickinson, ND at Dickinson State College, where she received her teaching certificate. She taught at numerous country schools around North Dakota. She met Otto Nissen and they married in Minneapolis in 1936 and they lived on a farm near Drake. Otto died on February 10th 1955 in Harvey, but she continued to run the family farm near Drake. She later married Ben Enge in 1958 and he passed away in 1983. She was an avid gardener and loved spending time with her family. She had been living at the Nursing Home in Fertile, MN. Survivors: sons, William O. (Joyce) Nissen, Minot and Otto H. Nissen, Minot; stepchildren, Irv (Loretta) Nissen, Newport, OR, Ray (Rose) Nissen, Perry, OR. , Vernon (Jean) Enge, Mpls, MN, Clarence Enge, David City, NE, Alice (Loren) Martwick, Alexandria, MN, and Evelyn (Bob) St. Peter, International Falls, MN. Step-daoughter-in-law, Wanda Nissen, Newport, OR; grandchildren, William T. (Peggy) Nissen, Machelle (Kevin) Howe, April (Aaron) Boatright, Margaret Nissen, Otto Nissen and Christine Nissen; great-grandchildren, William Matthew Nissen, Levi Nissen, Evan Nissen, Heather Howe, Hannah Boatright, Nicholas Boatright. Numerous step-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maude and William Stone, baby brother who died at birth, stepsons, Ben Enge Jr. and Vernon Nissen and husbands, Otto H. Nissen and Ben Enge Sr. Funeral: Monday, March 15, 2004 at Thompson Larson Funeral Home, Minot at 11 a.m. Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot Visitation: Sunday, today, from noon until 5 pm at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
