Wanda Lee Elich 1949 - 2011

Wanda Elich PhotoWanda Lee Elich, age 62, Minot, died Wednesday June 22 in her home.

She was the daughter of Andrew and Agnes (Nyberg) Helgeson. She was born on March 25, 1949.

She was raised and educated in the Minot area.

She was once married to Mike Elich. They had 2 children, Heather and Travis. They made their home in Minot where she worked at the post office and as a bookkeeper for many years. She also worked at ING and a local flower shop where she enjoyed making flower arrangements. She was a great cook and loved to bake all kinds of goodies.

She is survived by her daughter, Heather Kersten (Chad), their children Jake and Carley; her son, Travis Elich (Stacey), their son Taylor. Her sister, Cindy (Steve) Kerzmann, and seven brothers, Mike Brevik, Allen Helgeson, Leslie (Kathy) Helgeson, Curt (Lucy) Helgeson, Terry (Robyn) Helgeson, Kevin (Stacey) Helgeson, Andy (Bobbie) Helgeson and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Dennis Helgeson.

Memorial Service: 
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 5, 2011 at 11:00 am at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home in Minot.

Following the service everyone is invited to the Greenhouse Café, located at 300 Main St. South, Suite 200, (one block east of the funeral home) for a time of lunch and fellowship.
