Frances Eldevik 1917 - 2009 Frances Goettle was born October 19, 1917, in Stave Township, Mountrail County, the daughter of George and Mary (Landwehr) Goettle. She was reared and attended rural school in the area. As a young lady, she worked in an airplane factory in Seattle, WA. She later worked at the Donnybrook grocery store. Frances married Norman Eldevik June 4, 1945, in Donnybrook. They made their home, farmed, and raised their six children in Lowland Township, Mountrail County, ND. Norman passed away in September of 1991. In 1994, she moved to Kenmare and lived in the apartments across from St. Agnes Catholic Church. This allowed her to attend daily mass. Frances had a strong belief in her catholic faith. She moved to Minot in 2005 and resided at Edgewood Vista. In 2006, due to failing health, she moved back to Kenmare and resided at the Kenmare Hospital Swing Bed, until her death. She was a member of St. Cecilia's Circle, St. Anthony's Catholic Church of Donnybrook, and St. Agnes Altar Society of Kenmare. She was active at the Kenmare Senior Citizens Center as well. Frances and Norman enjoyed taking drives around the countryside. Her family was an important part of her life. Her hobbies included gardening, flowers, baking, canning, crocheting, sewing, reading, playing cards and board games, and word search puzzles. Surviving family includes: daughters, Norma (Howard) Gustavson, Donnybrook, and Sharon (Jon) Jonason, Minot; sons, Rodney (Linda), Alexandria, MN, Steve (Phyllis), Glenburn, Gary (Olive), Aberdeen, SD, and Greg (Hilda) Donnybrook; grandchildren, David Gustavson and his fiancee, Kelly Wilhelmi, Lori (Kelly) Bauer, Brian (Jan) Eldevik, Tracy (Brian) Moser, Kristi (Shawn) Schmidt, Roxann (Paul) Schumann, Brent Eldevik, Angela Eldevik, Tiffany Eldevik, and Katlyn Eldevik; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Leah and Hailey Moser, Caleb Schmidt, Nicholas and Abigail Schumann; brother, John Goettle, Klamath Falls, OR; and several nieces and nephews. Frances was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman; sister, Lucille Whillock; and brothers, Herb, Leonard and Pete Goettle. Mass of Christian Burial: Friday, February 20, 2009,
