Heather Edwardson • 1976 - 2006 Heather Edwardson, 29, 1107 6th Ave. SW, Minot, ND, died Tuesday, March 14, 2006, in a Minot hospital. Heather Dawn Edwardson was born on May 14, 1976, the daughter of Virgil and Karen (Edwardson) Borman at St. Joseph's Hospital, Minot. She attended Edison Elementary, Jim Hill Jr. High, Central Campus and graduated from Minot High School in 1994 with highest honors. Following her high school graduation, she was a resident at the Courage Center in Minneapolis, MN. Upon completion of nine month training for independent living skills, she enrolled at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND, in the fall of 1995. She graduated in 2000 with a B.A. degree in Psychology. She then entered a graduate program at the University of Toledo in Toledo, OH. She received her Master's degree in Developmental Psychology in 2005 and was currently working on her dissertation to complete her PHD in developmental psychology. Heather loved her family and friends and they were of great importance to her throughout her life. She took great pleasure in the simple things in life. Her love of animals was second only to her great love of babies. Her smile radiated that love as she cuddled and touched them. Her love of education showed in what she had accomplished. Her 'never give up' attitude carried her each and every day. Her physical disabilities were just an "inconvenience" to her. To those who met her, they will probably never forget her. To us who loved and knew her, she has forever changed our lives. Our hearts are breaking for the loss of her, but the memories she has left us will be forever a comfort to our grieving hearts. Surviving family includes: mother and father, Karen and Virgil Borman, Minot; maternal grandmother, Irene Edwardson, Minot; paternal grandmother, Velma Borman, Minot; step-brothers, Virgil Borman, Jr., Minot, and Stewart Borman, Berthold; step-sister, Wendy Hanson, Bismarck; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Heather was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Alfred Edwardson; and paternal grandfather, Maurice Borman; cousins, Craig Edwardson and Danny Stokke.
