Estelle G. Eckert 1919- 2006

Estelle G. Eckert, 86, 13 3rd Ave. SW, Minot, died Monday, May 8, 2006 in a Minot nursing home.

Estelle Gertrude Eckert was born November 27, 1919, on the family farm in Muskego Township, Renville County to Joseph and Mary (Pritschet) Eckert. She was raised on the family farm and attended Muskego Township School #3. She graduated from St. Leo's High School as Valedictorian and Minot Business College.

She was employed by Truax Traer, Westland Oil Company and later the Great Northern Railroad, where she worked until retirement.

Estelle was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot, and did volunteer work for the Parish for numerous years.

Survivors: Sister-in-law, Agnes Eckert, Minot; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and long-time companion, Reuben Steffan, Minot.

Estelle was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary; sisters, Lena Engelhard, Elvira Lambert, Lydia Rosso; brothers, George, Reinhard, Bernard and Clifford Eckert.

Funeral: Thursday, May 11, 2006, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot, ND.

Visitation and vigil prayer service: Wednesday (today) from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m., with the vigil prayer service at 7:00 p.m., all at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.

Mass of Christian Burial: St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot, Thursday, May 11, 2006, 10:00 a.m.
