Ethel May Eamon 1950 - 2004 Ethel May Eamon, 85, 1325 27 St SE Lot 113, Minot, died Saturday, August 28, 2004, in a Minot medical center. Ethel was born August 8, 1919, near Pleasant Lake, Pierce County, ND, the daughter of Magnus and Jennie Martinson. When she was eight years old, the family moved to Harrison Township, Ward County. She attended Campus School in Minot and graduated from Minot Model High School. During World War II she worked at the Willamette Iron and Steel Co. shipyards in Portland, Oregon. She married Bernard Savelkoul September 23, 1946, in Minot. They lived and farmed in Lansford Township, Bottineau County. He died August 23, 1949. She married Robert Eamon Februrary 4, 1951. They lived and farmed in Lockwood Township, Renville County. In 1972, they retired from farming but continued to make their home on the farm. Robert died January 25, 1994. She moved to Minot in the summer of 2002. Ethel wrote "Think About Your Babies" and "Just Say No, No", poems about the effects of drugs and alcohol on unborn babies. The poems are used in maternity and child health care clinics. She is survived by her son, Dennis Savelkoul, Minot; daughter, Donna Clark, Bismarck; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Bernard and Robert; sisters, Ann, Doris and Vivian; and brother, Paul. Ethel deeded her body to the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks for medical study. Memorial Service: There will be a private family service held at a later date.
