Constance "Connie" Joyce Dunlap 1942 - 2010 Connie was born on April 24, 1942, a daughter of Fred and Katherine (Rovenko) Strilcov in Minot, ND. She was raised on the family farm near Max, North Dakota. Connie graduated from Max High School in 1959. Following her graduation, Connie attended Prairie Bible Institute in Alberta, Canada, where she met her husband Arthur Dunlap. Connie and Art were married on November 16,1963. Their daughter, Crystal Ann, was born in 1965. Shortly after, they moved to Seattle, Washington, where Connie completed nurses training. Jason Arthur was born in 1975, in Minnesota, where the family was living while Art attended seminary. When she was young, Connie considered being a nurse missionary. As a minister’s wife, she was able to fulfill her wish to serve others in the name of the Lord. She continued ministering to others as an asthma and allergy nurse in Minneapolis, MN and Minot, ND. After she retired from nursing, Connie enjoyed caring for her grandchildren, reading them Bible stories, teaching them to pray, and singing them her favorite hymns. Connie enjoyed painting, baking, gardening, decorating her home, and finding bargains. Preceded in death by daughter, Crystal; parents, Fred and Kathryn Strilcov and brother, Walter Strilcov. Survived by husband, Art Dunlap; son, Jason (Heidi) Dunlap; grandchildren, Samuel, Noah and Elizabeth Dunlap; brothers, Gordon (Chris) Strilcov and Marlin Strilcov; sister, Marianne (Richard) Podruchny; sister-in-law, Sharon Strilcov; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation 5-8 PM Wed. Oct. 6th at Roberts Family Funeral Home, 555 Centennial Dr SW, Forest Lake. Funeral service 11 AM Thurs. Oct. 7th at Coon Rapids Free Church, 2650 – 128th Ave. NW, Coon Rapids with visitation beginning at 10 AM until time of service. A second service honoring Connie will be held at 11 AM Saturday, October 9th at First Baptist Church, 200 – 3rd Street SW, Minot, ND with visitation beginning at 10 AM until time of service. Interment Max Baptist Cemetery, Max, ND. Memorials to Child Evangelism Fellowship, Gideons International, and Grace Church-Wyoming, MN.
