Leona Duff 1906 - 2007 Leona was born on February 10, 1906, in rural Willow City, Bottineau County, ND, the daughter of Alfred and Sedone (Cote) Dore. She was reared in Bottineau County and educated at Notre Dame Academy in Willow City, ND. On August 6, 1931, Leona married Leo Duff in Willow City, ND. They farmed in the Willow City area until 1958, when the couple moved into Willow City where they owned and operated the White Way Café for two years. The couple lived in Willow City until 1990, when they moved to Minot. Leo died on December 8, 1992, in Minot. Leona was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot and a former member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Willow City. Leona loved to crochet and made numerous afghans for her family. She also enjoyed cooking and gardening in her spare time. Survivors: children, Madonna (Don) Haberman, Minot, Pauline (Albert) Waltz, Auburn, WA, Leola (Tom) Hanson, Minot, Raymond (Stephanie) Duff, St. Michael, MN, Audrey Duff, Aurora, CO; grandchildren, Doug (Lori) Haberman, Pam Haberman, Mary (Peter) Cano, Mark (Renae) Haberman, Steve (Lorri) Haberman, Katherine (Adam) Lamb, Barbara Kinkade, Brenda (Al) Keyes, Tom (Jennifer) Hanson, Curtis (Julie) Hanson, Chuck (Dawn) Hanson, Linda (Kirk) Flory, Leah Hanson, and KrisAnn (Lance) Tharp; 39 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Jeanette Tate, Spokane, WA and numerous, nieces, nephews and close friends. Leona was preceded in death by her husband, Leo, parents, Alfred and Sedone, brothers, Amede, Leo and Wilfred Dore, and sisters, Eva Miller and Ourore Duff.
