Michael Duchsherer • 1960 - 2010

Michael Duchsherer, 50, of Minot, died Wednesday, December 8, 2010 in his home.

Michael was born on April 22, 1960, a son of Anton B. and Dorothy (Grinsteiner) Duchsherer in Minot, ND. He was raised and educated in Minot, graduating from Minot Public Schools in 1978. He furthered his education at Moorhead Tech, graduating with degrees in chef training and chef management.

Michael pursued his career in culinary arts by working at various restaurants including
Fortune Cookie, Behm’s Café, The Officer’s Club at MAFB. On January 1, 2001 he began his career at Holiday Inn Riverside where he was the Banquet Kitchen Manager and Head Chef.

Michael is survived by:  Daughter Alexandra (Fiancé Aaron Newman) Schoenberg; Siblings: Linda Price, James (Jeanie) Duchsherer, Roger (Gail) Duchsherer, Leo (Denise) Duchsherer, Ted (Fiancée Luci Leier) Duchsherer, Dorothy (Mark) Priess, Andy Duchsherer, all of Minot and Pauline Roberts, of Kansas City KS; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Charles.

Mass of Christian Burial:   Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at 10am at St. Leo’s Catholic Church, Minot
