Clyde James Duchsherer
1951 - 2005 Clyde James Duchsherer, 53, Minot, died suddenly Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at a Minot hospital. He was born on October 5, 1951, in Harvey, ND, the son of John and Dorothy (Haman) Duchsherer. He lived in and around the Karlsruhe area on the family farm. In 1969, he graduated from Karlsruhe High School. After graduation he attended Minot State University and then the North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND, where he received his certificate in auto repair. On September 13, 1980, Clyde married Monica Anderson at Zion Lutheran Church, Minot. Clyde was employed as an auto mechanic at Sears Roebuck and Company in Minot for many years until his health forced him to retire. He also volunteered at Lincoln Elementary School in Minot for the last 13 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Zion Lutheran Church, the Moose Lodge and the Knights of Columbus, all of Minot. Survivors: wife of 24 years, Monica, Minot; daughter, Melissa Duchsherer, attending North Dakota State University, Fargo, ND; son, Casey Duchsherer attending Minot State University, Minot; sister, Geraldine Phillips and her husband Paul, Central Point, OR; brother and best friend, Gerald Duchsherer, Minot; brother-in-law, Allen Anderson and his wife Sharon, Minot and several nieces, nephews, one great-niece and 8 great-nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Dorothy, one infant brother, Donald and an infant sister, Marie several aunts and uncles and his father and mother-in-law, Albert and Eleanor Anderson.
