Leonard H. Drabus 1919 - 2002 Leonard H. Drabus, 82, Harvey, died Thursday, April 11, 2002, in a Minot hospital. He was born September 21,1919, in Enderlin, ND to Frank and Marie (Hoffman) Drabus. He was reared and educated in Kenmare. Following school, he went to work for the Soo Line Railroad. In 1941, he entered the United States Army and served during World War II in the 164th Infantry. He was honorably discharged on May 29, 1945 at Fort Snelling, MN. He returned to the Kenmare area and continued working for the Soo Line Railroad. On September 15, 1945, he married Margaret "Peggy" Bird in Kenmare. They lived in Kenmare until the mid 1950's when they moved to Harvey. Leonard retired in 1985 as an Engineer with the Soo Line. His wife died in 1988 and he continued living in Harvey until the time of his death. He was a member of the Eagles Club, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion, all of Harvey. He was also a member of the National Rifle Association. Leonard attended First Lutheran Church, Harvey. Survivors: son , Kelly Drabus, Valley City, ND; daughter, Lorraine Wagner and husband Michael, Omaha, NE; four grandchildren, Paul and Peggy Drabus and Matt and Bobby Wagner; two great-grandchildren, Sky and Chase; twin brother, Lawrence Drabus and wife Twila, Kenmare; sister, Eileen Riske and husband Clarence, Hendersonville, NC. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and sister, Lorraine Drabus. Funeral: Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. at Nazareth Lutheran Church, Kenmare. Visitation: Monday from 2-7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Kenmare. Burial: Lakeview Cemetery, Kenmare. Officiants: Rev. Dick Owens, pastor of Nazareth Lutheran
