Lucille Dostert, 77, Burlington, died Saturday, June 07, 2008 in a Minot nursing home

Lucille Becker was born on February 10, 1931, in Minot, ND, the daughter of Walter and Esther (Spicher) Becker. She was raised and educated in Des Lacs, graduating from Des Lacs High School in 1948. Following graduation, she worked for Gaffaney's for a year and a half.

On July 24, 1950, she was united in marriage to Edwin Dostert in Des Lacs, ND. They made their home in Lonetree, ND, before moving to the farm in Foxholm Township. Together they had a dairy and small grain farm.

Lucille enjoyed quilting and was the co-chairman for Ward County with the centennial quilt. She was well known for her skill at baking bread and pies. Lucille had a special place in her heart for animals, many times hatching young turkeys and ducklings.

She was a member of the Lonetree Homemakers Club, Berthold PTA, St. Mary's Christian Mothers Group, the Minot Senior Citizens and at one time was an active 4-H leader. In recent years, her true love was teaching line dancing to her friends at the Parker, where up to her death; she had more than a hundred students.

Those who shared in her life: Husband of 57 years, Edwin, Burlington, son Barry Dostert, Hebron, NB, daughter Susette "Sue" (Neil) Brown, and her children April and Michael, Glyndon, MN; son Mark Dostert and his children Amanda Peterson (Jay) and her daughter Marrin, Katie, Erin, Cameron, Tiffany and Rachel, Minot, ND; son Alan (Carolyn) Dostert and his children Alexander, Anthony and Anastasia, Moorhead, MN; sisters: Faye (Richard) Sharp, Minot, Freda Becker, LeClair, IA; Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son Joseph, brother Fred and sister Irma.

Visitation: Tuesday, June 10, 2008, from 2-7 at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot

Vigil prayer service: Tuesday at 7 in the funeral home.

Mass of Christian Burial: Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 11 a.m. at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Minot

Burial: St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Foxholm, ND
