Wendelin Dosch 1924 - 2006 Wendelin was born on August 15, 1924, in Karlsruhe, ND, the son of Marcus and Magdalen (Reiter) Dosch. He was educated at Sts. Peter and Paul Parochial School in Karlsruhe and worked on his parent's farmstead. In the winter months, Wendelin hunted and trapped on the Wintering River. During the summer months between Spring Seeding and Fall Harvest, he worked at the Velva Coal Mine. On June 30, 1949, Wendelin married Elaine Lochthowe. Together the couple farmed Wendelins family farmstead in Karlsruhe and raised their four children. While living in Karlsruhe Wendelin served as the Karlsruhe Township Treasurer for several years and was an active member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church where he was a Trustee and usher for many years. In 1977, Wendelin and his family moved to Minot where he continued his farming operation in Karlsruhe until retiring in 1995. Wendelin was a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, The Knights of Columbus, and the Royal Order of the Moose all in Minot. Wendelin was an avid Pinochle player and in his retirement, it was his favorite pastime. Survivors: wife of 57 years, Elaine, Minot; children, Amy Rollings, Minot, Randal (Teri) Dosch, Karlsruhe, Mark (Virginia) Dosch, Silver Spring, MD, Annette (David) Sheldon, Apple Valley, MN; grandchildren, Michael and Leah; brothers, Albert (Joyce) Dosch, Cut Bank, MT, Leonard (Shirley) Dosch, Minot, and Henry (Janice) Dosch, Fairbanks, AL; sisters, Jenny (John) Klein, Tacoma, WA and Agnes (Edward) Halvorson, Devils Lake, ND; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Marcus and Magdalen, infant brother, Edward and his sister, Margaret Koreis. Mass of Christian Burial: Thursday, November 30, 2006,
