Mona Doman 1909 - 2008 Mona C. Kromrey was born June 18, 1909, a daughter of Edward and Emma (Stubbe) Kromrey in Kramer, ND. She was raised and educated in Kramer, ND, graduating in 1925. She then attended Minot State Teachers College where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. She later received her Master's Degree in Special Education from Eastern Montana University. Mona married Paul A. Doman November 25, 1937, in Kramer, ND. They moved to Minot, where he worked for the Great Northern Railroad and she taught at Sunnyside Elementary School for five years. She also served as Deputy Superintendent of Ward County Schools for a short time. She then taught in Helena, MT, for eight years. After 20 years in education, she retired in 1973. They returned to Kramer, ND, and wintered in Arizona and New Mexico. In 1996, they moved back to Minot. Paul passed away June 19, 2001. Mona had continued to reside in Minot since her husband's death. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Minot, and formerly a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Kramer. She was also a member of Alpha Delta Kappa Teacher's Sorority. Surviving family includes: children, Warren Doman, Tucson, AZ, and Marilyn Moore, Tucson, AZ; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Ardith Laudenschlager, Rapid City, SD; nephews, David Laudenschlager, Bob Kromrey, and Ed Kromrey. Mona was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul; and brother, Dan Kromrey. Funeral: Saturday, June 7, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at St.
