Peggy Dillon 1929 - 2009 Peggy L. Pace was born December 20, 1929, the only child of Ralph and Lois (Sapp) Pace, in Olney, Illinois. She was raised and educated near Lawrenceville, Illinois. Peggy married Harry Bradley in 1947 in Bridgeport, Illinois. They made their home in Bridgeport, where she worked as the Lawrence County Clerk in the 1950's and 60's. Harry served as an Illinois State Trooper and was killed in the line of duty October 24, 1957. From this union, four children were born, Dean, Glenna, Jody and Steve. In 1961, Peggy was married to Joseph Dillon. From this union,
five children were born, Tracy, Mike, Shannon, Kelly and Joe.
Because Joseph was serving with the Air Force, their family was
stationed in Germany for a time before being transferred to the
Minot Air Force Base, Minot, ND. Peggy had worked as an office
manager for various Minot businesses and South Prairie School.
Peggy and Joseph were later divorced. Joseph passed away in July
of 2002. She was a founding member of the Minot Christian Church. When the Minot Christian Church closed, she attended the Minot Church of Christ. She was also a lifetime member of the NRA. She was not only a military wife, but also a military mother, having supported five children in their military careers, including one in combat. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening, reading, and playing cards. She loved her children and grandchildren, always taking time to tend to their needs above her own. She also loved her cats and dogs. Surviving family includes: Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and husbands. Funeral: Monday, May 4, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at the

Peggy's family will join you when they return from the cemetery. Our family would like to thank all of you for your many acts
