William F. Depute 1929 - 2005 William F. Depute, 76, Minot, died Thursday, December 8, 2005 in a Minot nursing home. William F. Depute was born on February 18, 1929, the son of William J. and Eva (Hennessy) Depute, on the family farm in Berthold, ND. He was reared and educated in the Berthold area, attending grade school in Passport Township, and high school in Berthold. On July 18, 1950 he enlisted into the U.S. Air Force. He proudly
served his country, receiving the National Defense Service Medal
and the Occupational Medal (Germany), when he was honorably discharged
on February 18, 1954, and returned to Berthold. He went to work
for Kempers Construction of Minot. In 1964, he moved to Essex,
MT, and worked construction, before moving to Missoula, MT. While in Missoula, he was a member and Post Adjunctant of the Veterans of Foreign Wars club and a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church. He enjoyed gardening, reading, watching western movies and baseball. He is survived by: Brothers: Lawrence Depute, Berthold; Daniel (Linda) Depute, Berthold; Jerome Depute, Malta, MT; Francis (Julie) Depute, St. Paul, MN; sisters: Marcella Depute, Minot; Donna Depute, Minot; Dolores Drangsholt, Antler; Gertrude Sims, Spokane, WA: Jane Depute, Jerusalem, Israel. Many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers, George and Eugene, and a nephew. Visitation: Tuesday, December 13, 2005, from noon until 7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Vigil prayer service: Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot Mass of Christian Burial: Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Berthold, ND.
