Alma M. DeLorme, 79, Minot, passed away peacefully, Friday, April 16, 2010, in her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Alma Marie Dionne was born December 7, 1930, in Belcourt, ND, one of fourteen children to Louis and Rosa (Thomas) Dionne. She was raised in Rolette County, rural Belcourt, ND, and attended school in Belcourt and later attended in Marty, South Dakota, where she graduated.

On August 31, 1949 Alma married Eugene DeLorme in Belcourt, ND, and to this union they were blessed with four sons, Eugene Lynus, Duane Allen, Gary Joseph and Steven Blaine. In 1951 they moved to Minot. While in Minot Alma was employed at City Bakery, Red Owl and Kmart.

She was a charter member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot. She was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Auxiliaries, and Fraternal Order of Moose, all in Minot.

Those who shared in her life, Her loving husband of 61 years, Eugene, Minot; sons, Eugene Lynus (Carolyn) DeLorme, Manvel, ND, Gary Joseph (Kathryn) DeLorme, Appleton, WI, and Steven Blaine DeLorme, Rockford, Ill; nine grandchildren, Carolyn (Lyn), Christine, Jamie, Jordan, Andrea, Marriah, Mikayla, Joshua and Devon; three great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Owen and Carter; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Alma was preceded in death by her son, Duane Allen DeLorme; her parents, Louis and Rosa Dionne, and 13 brothers and sisters.

Funeral: Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at 1:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot.

Vigil Prayer Service: Monday, April 19, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Visitation: Visitation will be Monday, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m., and Tuesday, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., all at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.

Following the graveside service everyone is invited to join the family for lunch and fellowship in the lower level of the church.

Our family would like to thank everyone for the many acts of kindness shown during Alma’s illness this last year, and now at this difficult time.  Your thoughts and prayers are deeply appreciated and will never be forgotten.  God bless the memory of Alma DeLorme!
