Jodi (Ellis) Degenstein
• 1958 - 2007 Jodi Lynn Ellis was born June 28, 1958, the daughter of Delmar and Bonnie Ellis in Stanley, ND. She was raised and educated in the Lignite and Portal areas. She worked at Pierre's Place and Outback Steak House in Portal as a cook and waitress. Jodi married Charles G. Degenstein October 24, 1997, in Bowbells, ND. They made their home in Portal, where she continued to be a cook and waitress at Outback Steak House until the time of her illness. Jodi loved cooking and visiting with the people who came in to eat. She made a lot of friends over the years. Family and friends meant a lot to her, as she was such a good person to know. Jodi was well liked by everyone and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Surviving family includes: husband, Charlie, Portal; sister, Sharon (Duane) Estvold, New Town, Jackie Peterson and her late husband, Bob, Bowbells, Tracy Daily, Columbus, Kelly (George) Morgel, Portal, Amber (Chris) Dunn, Minot; brothers, Bill (Oleta) Ellis, Hobart, OK, Doug (Laura) Ellis, Cordell, OK, Brad (Stacey) Ellis, Max, Robbie Ellis, Cordell, OK, Alan Ellis, Cordell, OK, Darren (Michelle) Ellis, Madill, OK, and Jamie Ellis, Oklahoma; mother-in-law, Helen Degenstein, Harvey; brother-in-law, Brady Degenstein, Harvey; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Jodi was preceded in death by her parents, Delmar and Bonnie Ellis; father-in-law, L. Lloyd Degenstein; brother, Randy Ellis; brother-in-law, Bob Peterson.
