Ann M. Darras 1916- 2005 Ann M. (Bourdeau) Darras, 89, Minot died Thursday, September 15, 2005, in a Minot nursing home. Ann was born February 9, 1916, in Deloraine, Manitoba, Canada, the daughter of Jules and Julia (Huygbaleant) Bourdeau. As a young child she moved with her parents to Noonan, ND, where she attended country school. On April 13, 1936 Ann married Charles L. Darras in Noonan, ND. They lived in the Noonan area for a few years and in October of 1945 they purchased their own farm in Columbus. Ann and Charles farmed and raised their family in the Columbus area for many years and in the early 80's they moved to Minot. Charles died on July 18, 2005. Ann was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot and the churches Altar Society. She loved helping on the farm and also loved growing a garden. She also enjoyed watching her grandchildren playing sports. Survivors: Children, Dale (Bertha) Darras, Minot, Dianne (Ed) Starrett, Chandler, AZ, Gary (Syl) Darras, Crosby, ND, and Yvonne (Mark) Reistad, Columbus; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three step grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Marie Bourdeau, Crosby and Mary Bourdeau, Noonan; several nieces and nephews also survive. Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Darras; infant son, Lenny Darras; granddaughter, Tammy Hoff; grandson, John Starrett; her parents; brothers, George and Archie Bourdeau; sisters, Martha Caussyn, Margaret Kostek and Alice Jacobs. Funeral: Monday, September 19, 2005, at 10:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot, ND. Visitation: Sunday, September 18, 2005, from noon to 5:00 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND. Vigil Prayer Service: Sunday at 5:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND. Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND. Memorials preferred to Our Lady of Grace stained glass window fund.
