Lauren Deanne "Buzz" Cree 1941 - 2003

Lauren Deanne "Buzz" Cree, 61, Surrey, died Monday, July 7, 2003, in his home.

Lauren was born November 17, 1941, in Minot, ND, the son of Paul and Phoebe (Wantz) Cree. He was raised and educated in Surrey, ND. He served in the Army National Guard and later the United States Army during the Berlin Crisis and the Cuban Missile Crisis and was honorably discharged in 1966. He had worked for C. D. Johnson Block Plant, North Dakota Concrete, Kemper Construction and Steen Construction before retiring.

He was "Uncle Buzzy" to all children and a favorite uncle to all his nephews and nieces. He had a big and kind heart, and was always willing to help others when needed.

Survivors: Brothers, Jim Cree, Deering, ND, Donald (Donna) Cree, Minot, and Joe (Elaine) Cree, Burlington; twin-sister, Laurene Bohlender, Minot, sisters, Linda (Royce) Herr, Bothell, WA, Patti (Ron) Herr, Surrey, and Kathy (Dave) Kimball, Minot; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins survive. Lauren was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Phoebe Cree; brothers, Morris and Carl Cree; sister, Lois Oja, nephew, Lance Cree and niece, Cristine Evers.

Funeral: Thursday, July 10, 2003 at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot at 10 a.m.

Visitation: There will be no reviewal but friends may sign the register book on Wednesday, July 9, 2003 from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. and on Thursday from 9 a.m. until service time.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot, ND
