Naomi Coyne 1915 - 2002
She was born October 4, 1915 in Lansford, ND to Fred and Jane (McCauley) Johnson. She was reared and educated in the Deering area and graduated from Deering High School. Following graduation, she attended business school in Austin, MN. She returned to North Dakota where she worked in Rolette, Crosby, Bottineau and Stanley for the Farmer's Home Administration. On April 18, 1941, she married Eugene Coyne in Deering, ND. They moved to Walhalla, ND following Gene's discharge from the Army in 1946. In 1953 they moved to Minot. Her husband died on March 11, 1971. After Eugene's death Naomi went to work for Devine Abstract and later retired in 1980. In 1995 Naomi entered a nursing facility in Bismarck where she lived for three years, then moved to Buffalo, MN where she lived for two years. Naomi spent the last two years living in a nursing facility in Fargo, ND. She was a former member of Little Flower Catholic Church and
a member St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, both of Minot.
She was also a member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers
and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. Mass of Christian Burial: Tuesday, November 19, 2002, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Apostle Church. Visitation: Monday, November 18, 2002, from Noon until 5 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Rosary Recitation and Prayer Service: Monday, November 18, 2002 at 7 p.m. at the St. John the Apostle Church, Minot. Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot MEMORIALS ARE PREFERRED TO THE VILLA MARIA 3102 South University Drive, FARGO, ND, 58103 OR THE ALZHEIMERS ASSOCIATION. Celebrant: Monsignor Joseph Senger
