Lauretta H. Cornog, 88, Minot, ND, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007, in a Minot nursing home.

Lauretta was born on November 10, 1918, in Kramer, ND, the daughter of Rudolph and Laurena (Thiel) Gust. She was reared and educated in Kramer.

On January 18, 1944, Lauretta was united in marriage to Gerald Cornog. The couple made their home in Kramer where they raised their children and Lauretta helped at the local grocery store. In 1981, Gerald retired and in 1984, they moved to Minot. Gerald died on August 28, 2006. Lauretta remained in Minot until the time of her death.

Lauretta was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Minot and a former member of Zion Lutheran Church, Kramer where she was active with the Quilters Guild.

Survivors: sons, Jerome (Bonnie) Cornog, Dothan, AL, and Gene (Ethel) Cornog, Minot; daughter, Darlene Cornog, Minot; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephew and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald her parents and a brother, Raymond Gust.

Funeral Service: Monday, March 26, 2007, at 2 p.m. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Minot.

Visitation: Sunday, March 25, 2007, from Noon until 5 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
