June Emily Coons • 1915 - 2004 June Emily Coons, 89, 7789 66th Ave. NW, Donnybrook, ND, died Monday, May 24, 2004, at her home. She was born on April 19, 1915, on the family farmstead rural Kenmare, ND, the daughter of George and Dehlia (Johnson) Harris. She was reared and educated in country school and later graduated from Kenmare High School. On November 20, 1948, June was united marriage to David Coons in Minot. The couple purchased a farmstead in rural Donnybrook where they raised their son, Terry. David died on December 22, 1988, in Minot. June remained on the farm until the time of her death. June was a member of the United Methodist Church, Kenmare. Survivors: son, Terry Coons, Donnybrook and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, David and her two brothers, Warren and Jerome Harris. Memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society, 123 Robert St. Fargo, ND 58102. Funeral Service: Friday, May 28, 2004, at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, Kenmare. No Reviewal but friends may sign a register book on Thursday, May 27, 2004, from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Kenmare. Burial: Lakeview Cemetery, Kenmare.
