John Matthew Clouse 1934 - 2007 John was born on August 11, 1934 in Minot, ND, the son and grandson of a pioneer, John Nicholas and Veronica Christine (Goebel) Clouse. He was raised on the family farmstead in rural Foxholm and educated in Foxholm. John was a third generation farmer on the Clouse family farm. He drove school bus for a few years for the Foxholm and Carpio areas and also worked for numerous years as a truck driver with the Minot Livestock Auction. John enjoyed hunting, fishing and helping his neighbors especially with any type of mechanical repairs. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Foxholm. Survivors: brother, Andrew (Katherine) Clouse, Burlington, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Veronica, and sisters, Alva Murphy, Josephine Westphal, and Frieda Nygaard. Mass of Christian Burial: Saturday, October 6, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Foxholm. Visitation: Friday, October 5, 2007, from Noon until 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Cremation will take place after the funeral service. Memorials are preferred to the Minot Area Youth Sportsman Club, Inc.
